OA Farm Update
What's going on at the farm?
We just picked the first few tomatoes of our heirloom crop. Yum! Zucchinis and cucumbers are coming on also. The unusual winged green and yellow squash came from some old seeds that must have been a cross from a previous year. The taste is amazing so we are going to try to grow it out and stabilize it. Other shots show some of our friendly farm snakes and new farm kittens. What Fun! God is blessing our rare Red Velvet Okra 'grow out' (seed production term) and sponge gourd crop. Students should be able to harvest these when they get back in the fall. They will get to learn the seed saving process that is almost lost to modern gardening in the west.
